Nov 14 - Torre di Pietra - Saturday Live Music - Mike Blakely - 2:00 - 6:00pm

Torre di Pietra

Ten miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas on US Hwy 290  Fredericksburg, Texas 78624

Ten miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas on US Hwy 290 Fredericksburg, Texas 78624
Live music every Saturday from 2-6 in the Pavilion and Piazza. Today music with Mike Blakely, author, singer and songwriter.
Mike Blakely sits on the tailgate of his pickup truck on his ranch in Llano County, Texas, and removes his leather work gloves. He’s been tearing down an old corral so a newer, more functional set of working pens can take its place. He’s considering the question this interviewer has just asked: “How on Earth do you find time to do everything you do? You write books, record your own songs, play a hundred and fifty live shows a year, and still have time to tend to your ranch and your horses.”
Blakely has a ready answer: “People ask me that all the time. I tell them that I’m actually quadruplets. One of me writes the novels, one writes and plays the songs, one runs the ranch, and one of me sleeps.”
Indeed, having released 16 novels and 10 musical albums in the past twenty years, one wonders where Blakely could fit everything in, especially when one factors in an average of three live performances a week, many of which are events he also plans or produces. Then there’s the ranch work.
“It’s all a lot of hard work, but I wouldn’t do any of it if I didn’t love it. I used to dream of a life like this. Now, I’m living the dream.”

Nov 14 - Luckenbach Hunters’ Ball Thomas Michael Riley | Dust Devils - 8:00pm

Luckenbach Texas

412 Luckenbach Town Loop  Fredericksburg, Texas 78624 | Map

Hunters’ Ball is dance held for the beginning of hunting season. We welcome all hunters and anyone else who wants to attend. Performing this year will be the one and only Thomas Michael Riley & his band! Opening for Thomas will be the Dust Devils.

Honored as the Hill Country Entertainer of the Year in 2002 and 2004, Thomas Michael Riley is earning the status of a legend as he writes and sings his own brand of colorful and thoughtful Texas Americana Music. Each performance, Thomas delights fans of country music with his songwriting skills, spirited music and wonderful sense of humor. His ability to capture his audience is pure magic!

Built around the award-winning, mature songwriting of Kevin Higgins, and representing Texas with their original southern-rockin’, genre-bendin’ “Farm-to-Market Rock’n'Roll” style of music, The Dust Devils once again state their independence from hype and trends. With the 2007 release of their third album, Change in the Weather, (Little Train Records), the Dust Devils combine diversity with raw talent, allowing them to move about freely on the musical landscape. Add to that the visual and musical advantage of a male and female fronting the band, and you have a winning combination all the way around.
